Any use of generative AI tools for academic purposes must be consistent with the University’s Academic Integrity Policy, the Responsible Conduct of Research Policy and Procedure and the Australian Code for the Responsible Conduct of Research. For enquiries concerning the acceptable use of AI tools, HDR students should consult their supervisors or contact the CaRST team at carst@adelaide.edu.au.

Integrity in Research Writing course
Module 4 of this self-paced MyUni course is designed to provide an overview of AI, with a particular focus on generative AI tools, and to guide you through their responsible and effective use in your research writing endeavours. Understanding these technologies will help you leverage their capabilities while being mindful of their implications.
Navigating AI in Higher Degree Research
Available via the CaRST MyUni site, this webinar explores the ethical dimensions of using AI in HDR research, ensuring students use these tools responsibly and in accordance with established guidelines. This webinar will help you gain an understanding of the basic concepts of AI, the potential benefits and limitations of using AI in research and develop strategies for maintaining research integrity and ethical practices. HDR students can earn 2 CaRST training credits in Domain A for watching this webinar and completing a brief assessment quiz.
LinkedIn Learning courses on generative AI
Two new LinkedIn Learning courses on AI literacy have been pre-approved for CaRST credit. Follow these instructions to complete the courses for CaRST credit. Each course is claimable for 1 CaRST credit in Domain A.
