16th Annual Florey Postgraduate Research Conference

This year’s Florey Postgraduate Research Conference was held at the Adelaide Convention Centre on 21 September 2022. The event is a highlight for the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences and a chance to showcase outstanding research activity.

Now in its 16th year, the conference provides Higher Degree by Research (HDR) students with the opportunity to discuss their research with fellow students, academics, industry partners, and other major stakeholders of the University, and gain first-hand experience of what it is like to present at a large conference.

Featuring more than 110 posters from 15 research areas, this year’s conference was also attended by a number of distinguished speakers including 2022 Florey Public Lecture Speaker Professor Fabienne Mackay and a panel from industry, academia, research and clinical backgrounds who hosted round table discussions at the professional development session ‘Preparation for life post PhD’. These presenters shared their experiences on potential career pathways following completion of a Higher Degree by Research, contributing to the ongoing professional and personal development of those in attendance.
