RadInnovate: A New Training Centre for Radiation Innovation
The ARC Industrial Transformation Training Centre for Radiation Innovation (RadInnovate) marks a major milestone for Australia's capabilities in nuclear and radiation science and policy. Last week, the Chief Investigators from the University of Adelaide and UniSA had the opportunity to meet with RadInnovate Centre Director, Professor Mahananda Dasgupta (ANU), and the Chief Operating Officer, Ms Ingrid McCarthy (ANU), to kickstart the process of bringing together all their industry partners and researchers.

ZBLAN's Takeoff to Space
On January 30th, at 12:07 PM EST (January 31st, 03:37 AM ACDT), a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket is set to launch a miniaturized fibre draw tower module and 20 ZBLAN glass rods to the International Space Station (ISS) from Florida. Developed by industry partner Flawless Photonics and produced by the Optofab Adelaide team at IPAS, the module will be installed in an ISS glove box for drawing space ZBLAN fiber from IPAS-produced glass rods.
