Collaboration in action

Freiburg–Adelaide Biomedicine Virtual Symposium

The 2026 Freiburg–Adelaide Biomedicine Virtual Symposium showcased complementary strengths in cancer biology, immunology, and advanced biomedical technologies, with a strong focus on understanding tumour progression, immune interactions, and new therapeutic strategies. Bringing together nearly 30 academic colleagues from both institutions for research presentations and structured discussions, the Symposium highlighted how new technologies are transforming cancer research, from molecular mechanisms through to clinical translation and therapeutic development. The Symposium resulted in strong relationship building, knowledge exchange and the identification of future collaboration opportunities.
