Continuing students, start at Step 2: Plan your timetable.

Activate your account

You'll need:

  • your computer
  • your phone
  • the Student ID from your welcome email (can't find it?).

International students

Okta Verify sends a code to your phone every time you log in. Set it up on a phone you will keep while you study in Australia. If you are starting your studies outside Australia or online, use the phone you have now. If you get a new phone or phone number later, contact the Technology Service Desk to move Okta Verify to your new phone or number.

On your phone

Download Okta Verify from your app store (iOS or Android). What is Okta Verify?

On your computer

  1. Open the account activation page, select Activate your AU account, enter your Student ID and select Send.
  2. Open the email from no-reply@okta.adelaide.edu.au and follow the steps.
  3. Log in to myAdelaide, your student portal, to check your access.
  4. Go to myEnrolment, where you enrol in your courses, and complete your enrolment checklist. myEnrolment works best on a larger screen.

Stuck logging in?

Contact the Technology Service Desk, open 24/7.

Common issues

It arrives after you accept your offer and includes your Student ID (for example, a1234567). Check your junk and spam folders.

Still missing? Contact Student Assist. They can resend a welcome email with the links you need to get started, and refer you to the Technology Service Desk if there's an issue with your account.

Your student username is your Student ID with an "a" at the start. For example:

  • Student ID: 1234567
  • student username: a1234567.

Whenever you're asked for either one, enter it with the "a" first. If that doesn't work, try again without the "a".

Check your junk and spam folders for an email from no-reply@okta.adelaide.edu.au. Make sure you entered the Student ID from your welcome email.

Nothing after 15 minutes? Contact Student Assist.

Links expire after seven days. Contact Student Assist.

Check your phone's date and time are set automatically, then try again. Still not working? Contact the Technology Service Desk.

If you still have your old phone, you can move Okta Verify to your new phone yourself. Set up Okta on a new phone.

If you can't access your old phone, contact the Technology Service Desk. They'll reset Okta Verify so you can set it up on your new phone.

Your access can take up to 24 hours after you activate your account. Still can't log in after that? Contact Student Assist. They can help you sort it out, and refer you to the Technology Service Desk if there's an issue with your account.

It lets you start your visa application before you have met all your offer conditions. Your conditions are listed on it.

You may be eligible if you:

  • have met the English language requirements
  • have provided certified academic details
  • are using a recognised education agent
  • have applied for a conditional CoE.

When your results come out, send them through the Online Application System or your agent. If you do not meet the conditions, we may cancel your CoE. You may get a refund under our refund policy.

We may cancel your CoE if, for example, you:

If we do, our International Student Support team will tell you. You will have 28 days to leave Australia, apply for another visa or ask for your CoE to be reinstated. After that, the Department of Home Affairs may cancel your visa. See our Enrolment Policy.

It might. We must tell the Department of Home Affairs, and only they can cancel your visa. Contact them with any visa concerns.
