Review of CET Research Day 2024
Continuing its annual tradition, the CET held another inspiring Research Day last Tuesday December 10, 2024 at the Sanctuary Function Centre, Adelaide Zoo. It was an event that celebrated the research of students and staff of the Centre, as well as considering the broader challenges and priorities ahead.
Accelerating industrial decarbonisation
Prof Mercedes Maroto-Valer, Director of the UK’s Industrial Decarbonisation Research and Innovation Centre (IDRIC) will discuss how IDRIC is developing engineering solutions for net zero, while integrating economic, policy and future workforce needs to ensure these solutions are implemented at the scale and pace needed to meet net zero targets, at the 2024 HiTeMP-4 Forum, Oct 21-23, National Wine Centre, Adelaide. Enabling a net-zero electricity system for Australia
Chris Davies, Group Manager of Future Energy Systems at the Australian Electricity Market Operator (AEMO), will present “Enabling a Net-Zero Electricity System” at the 2024 HiTeMP-4 Forum on Monday October 21, 2024. In his presentation, Chris will outline the mix of resources needed to enable a net-zero energy system by 2050. Register today.

CET researchers to consult on IEA report
Dr Alfonso Chinnici and Prof Gus Nathan were selected by the International Energy Agency (IEA, Paris) to collaborate as consulting international analysts on an upcoming IEA report looking at the role of low-carbon fuels, particularly hydrogen and ammonia, for clean power generation.
