  • 12 May 2025: Handling Difficult Supervision Conversations with Gary Edwards

    Part of supervising HDR students can involve having challenging conversations.

     

    For example, talking to a student about poor progress, or managing disagreements within the supervisory panel.

     

    This supervision workshop will provide practical tips on having difficult conversations in supervisory practice, and look at HDR supervision scenarios.

    Presented by the Adelaide Graduate Research School in collaboration with Counselling Services, this two-hour face-to-face workshop uses materials developed by the Australian Council of Graduate Research (ACGR) to stimulate discussion about fostering the establishment and maintenance of a mutually respectful and safe research training environment within the University.
