Things I miss

Living in isolation with my family, there are so many things I miss.

I miss my friends so much. I miss going to the pub on the weekend, having beers and being surrounded by a bustling crowd of people. I miss Friday night dinners at the bustling Market Plaza food court.  I miss live music. I miss going out and dancing.

I miss physical touch. I miss having big hugs and cuddles with my friends. I miss dating. I never thought I'd say this, but I miss the gym! Somehow exercising at home by myself is just not the same.

Another thing I'm surprised to miss is having in-person meetings and classes. I'm so sick of trying to communicate through Zoom, having to overcome delays, awkward silences and lack of body language cues just to understand what others are saying.

I miss being able to go camping with friends. I miss gathering around autumn bonfires. I miss having little roadtrips to look forward to.

I miss my Grandma. I miss my housemates. I miss my housemate's dog. I miss so many things that I'm sick of saying 'I miss' all the time. I'm so looking forward to when this is all over.

What do you miss the most about life pre-COVID-19? What are you looking forward to doing once this is over?
