Wellbeing Champion Network

The University of Adelaide Wellbeing Champions network is made up of staff across the University who support the development of a safe, inclusive, supportive and respectful culture that is conducive to good mental health and wellbeing.

The Wellbeing Champion Network is led by Professor Jennie Shaw with members from both academic and professional units across the University. They are knowledgeable about resources and referral pathways to help support student wellbeing, and are committed to improving the students’ learning experience in a variety of ways. From helping to build a safe and collaborative atmosphere that reduces stigma, to promoting wellbeing initiatives, Wellbeing Champions will, where appropriate, provide feedback on key wellbeing issues to inform the development of policies and curriculum design.

Wellbeing Champions do not provide counselling services and may not have a professional background in mental health – they are people who are helping build and strengthen a campus culture in which students feel safe, valued and well equipped to engage in their studies.

If you are a staff member and interested in joining the Wellbeing Champions network, please read the information on how to apply.
