Mental Health Awareness Month Art Competition

MHAM art competition

All current University of Adelaide students are invited to participate in the 2024 Mental Health Awareness Month Art Competition as we share powerful stories of resilience through art and a chance to win $500.

This year's theme for Mental Health Awareness Month emphasises the importance of developing resilience to navigate life's challenges. We hope to share powerful stories through art that embody the journey of resilience and mental health.

Whether through vibrant colours, symbolic imagery, or thoughtful composition, we want to see how you can convey the message of resilience in a single artwork. This is your chance to make a meaningful impact through your art and contribute to the promotion of mental health awareness at the University of Adelaide.

Submissions must be uploaded in jpg or png format and title with a short blurb of 500 words or less must be provided to accompany the artwork.

Three winners will be selected, each receiving $500, to represent the diverse experiences and stories of resilience within our student community. Mental health journeys are unique, and having multiple winners allows us to showcase a variety of perspectives, ensuring more voices are heard and celebrated. The three pieces of art will be printed on a large scale and displayed throughout the month across campuses, providing visibility and recognition for their artistic contributions.
