Great workspaces of Adelaide continued!
I have long been looking for many and various places to study or work, from cafes to public libraries. Recently, I stumbled upon what is without doubt, the best space yet: the Prospect Public Library.
Conveniently located on Prospect Road, the Library has recently been refurbished, and now has a modern, minimalist vibe. There are multiple public areas to study, including cubicles among the shelves of books, and a more open area on the mezzanine level.
Even better is the location. Just minutes walk from the cafes and restaurants of Prospect Road, the biggest issue with library is maintaining focus on work with so many options on offer. I have been very busy over the past few weeks marking undergraduate essays, and loved being able to roll up to the library, treat myself to a yummy and convenient lunch or coffee.
There’s reliable Wi-Fi and staff who aren’t overbearing (none of the traditional librarian stereotypes, the older woman leering over her glasses if you deign to speak above a whisper!). That said, the atmosphere is quiet and calm, making it a very conducive environment to work.
I’d encourage anyone reading to check it out, but I’m a little torn. I might want to keep it a bit of a secret for myself!
