Student voice - Your representatives

Student voice - Your representatives

Become a student representative

Student Voice at Adelaide University is about more than sharing your opinion - it's an invitation for you to step up and take an active role in shaping your University.

Your experiences, ideas, and perspectives genuinely matter, and there are real opportunities for you to get involved as a student representative.

If you've ever wanted to have a genuine say in how things work, becoming a student representative is one of the most direct and rewarding ways to do it.

Your voice is represented at Adelaide University in these ways:

Student representatives

Explore how you can gain recognition for what you contribute, give back through meaningful community experiences, and build practical skills you'll carry into life after study.

Click below to discover our programs, panels, and committees — and find out when each one recruits student members.

Feedback and surveys

Your feedback matters. Adelaide University runs internal and national surveys covering your academic, social, and campus life. Submit anonymously and share honest thoughts without concern about identification. It helps us see what's working, act on what we can change, and make the university better for current and future students.

Make your voice count

Students in these programs influence real decisions - and build skills, networks, and experience along the way.  Explore each one to find your fit. Represent your peers, champion their ideas, and be part of something bigger.

The Academic Student Representative (ASR) Program supports meaningful student participation in shaping the academic and social experience at Adelaide University.

The program includes College, School and Degree-level representatives, ensuring student perspectives are represented across all areas of study and modes of learning.

ASRs bring their lived experience as students to the table and act as the voice of their cohort, working in partnership with staff to share feedback, raise issues and contribute to continuous improvement.

What ASRs do

Voice and advocacy

Represent and advocate for the perspectives, experiences and concerns of their cohort, acting as a key link between students and the University.

Engagement and inclusivity

Create an approachable and inclusive environment that encourages students from diverse backgrounds to share feedback and participate in conversations about their learning experience.

Integrity and communication

Uphold honesty and integrity, raise academic and campus-related issues as they arise, and communicate clearly and respectfully with both students and staff.
