Providing subject specific, 24/7 library support into your courses

Students are exposed to massive amounts of information online and it can be hard to know how to find the right resources for their assignments.

The library has developed a suite of online support guides available to students 24/7, providing them with just in time help with finding and using the information they need.

Our How Do I guides provide support on how to:

Find information including peer reviewed journal articles, company research, clinical practice guidelines, standards and patents, legislation, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander resources and other specific types of information

Develop essential skills including how to analyse essay topics, evaluate information and Google smarter

Reference & manage information including a new guide about APA 7th edition and how to use EndNote (our most popular guide)

Find information by subject including Animal & Vet Science, Medicine, Nursing, Architecture, Psychology, Science, Law and Music

Learn how to use databases including PubMed, Scopus and Web of Science, using interactive videos

There are various ways you can help your students access these guides, including:

  • Embedding a link to relevant individual guides in your MyUni course
  • Promoting Guides to students who you think would benefit from knowing they are available
  • Referring students to the Assignment Help option in MyUni navigation - there is a link to the Guides on this page
