Advice about how to record outcome

If outcome is no academic misconduct occurred, a record in the University record-keeping system (HPECM) will be made by the PSO including:

  • details about the student, the Program, the course and the assessment task
  • the factors taken into consideration
  • the information on which the decision is based
  • the outcome and reasons for the outcome

If the outcome is academic misconduct occurred, a record in the Academic Integrity Register will be made by the PSO including:

  • details about the student, the Program, the course and the assessment task
  • the type of academic misconduct
  • the factors taken into consideration;
  • the information on which the decision is based
  • the outcome and reasons for the outcome

Access to academic integrity records and AI Register

Access to the academic integrity records and the Academic Integrity Register is restricted to designated Professional Staff supporting investigations and Academic Integrity Officers. Permission to access the Register can be obtained by emailing acintegrity@adelaide.edu.au

Reporting of data

Data will be extracted from the register on a regular basis for institutional reporting of Academic Integrity Policy breaches and outcomes including:

  • number of misconduct cases raised per year (by Faculty)
  • types of misconduct
  • student factors (UG/PG/HDR; domestic/international; nationality; entry pathway; gender)
