Biological Compliance

Biological compliance incorporates compliance requirements under the Gene Technology Act 2000, Biosecurity Act 2015, microbiological biosafety requirements of Australian/New Zealand Standard 2243.3:2022 and associated legislation, guidelines and standards. 

The pages below provide information and resources to support University personnel who work with gene technology, genetically modified organisms, imported biological goods, or Risk Group 2 or higher micro-organisms and other infectious material. Information is also provided for those who work in physical containment or biosecurity containment facilities at the University of Adelaide.
