It is necessary for all persons associated with the University of Adelaide to obtain appropriate ethical clearance before commencing any activity involving human research.

Notifying of external ethics approval
Ethics approval obtained from other ethics committees external to the University, including overseas, must be notified to the University.
Reporting requirements
Researchers must report adverse events, submit annual progress reports and final completion reports, and apply for any changes to approved projects.

Adelaide Compliance & Ethics System (ACES)
Adelaide Compliance & Ethics System (ACES) is the new system for managing Human and Animal Ethics, and Biosafety applications.
Human Ethics Application is due to go live in the first week of April!
ACES is live for Animal Ethics. Biosafety applications are scheduled to go live in Q1 2025.
