Sustainable living: best eats in Adelaide

The Adelaide Sustainability Association hosted our first ever Living Sustainable: Food Festival 2021 event! We reached out to local businesses with sustainable principles and had such amazing food to share at the event – we even sold out after 2 hours!

Whether you want to try something new, are vego or appreciate different cuisines – delicious food is something we can all bond over (and even better when it’s good for the planet). Our food event was such a fun filled day - it was amazing to see how interested people were in sustainable food (we also had a really cool smoothie bike - which was quite the hit)! I have showcased my favourite places below, so if you’re out why not try some of these recommendations?

1. Zenhouse

Zenhouse are completely plant based – they offer both Asian and Western/fusion dishes. They have an amazing vegetarian yumcha menu - my favourite is their BBQ buns. They are just a 5 min walk away from the North terrace campus!

2. Nagev

Nagev are 100% plant based, and they offer a wide selection of options for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with Latin American influenced flavours. They have the best tasting vegan waffles and an amazing selection of desserts – yummy!

3. Foodprint Experience

The Foodprint Experience create healthy, sustainably sourced meals and every meal or coffee purchased provides employment opportunities to vulnerable and disadvantaged members of the community. Check out their vegan arancini balls – and they are located just on Franklin St!

Happy eating!
