Wellbeing Grants

The Student Health and Wellbeing Grants program at the University of Adelaide is dedicated to enhancing the wellbeing of our students. Applications are now open for the 2025 program.

This initiative aligns with the University’s Student Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategy, creating diverse opportunities that support and improve the overall experience for our students. We aim to fund innovative projects and programs that promote various areas of wellbeing.

Funding

The funding for this project comes from the Student Services and Amenities Fee (SSAF), therefore there are specific non-allowable expenses that must be considered. This includes gifts or donations for speakers or panel members.

To receive a wellbeing grant, your group, team, or club must have an ABN. Students will be required to invoice the Student Health and Wellbeing team for the grant. Staff will be required obtain approval from their managers to receive journal transfers related to this funding.

If you do not belong to a specific group but are interested in running a wellbeing initiative, the Student Health and Wellbeing team may still be able to support you. This will be assessed on a case-by-case basis, so please reach out for more information.

Considerations

The Student Health and Wellbeing currently deliver a range of initiatives to support student wellbeing. To enhance our efforts, applications that align with existing initiatives must be delivered during the designated timeframe. The team encourages applications that promote areas of wellbeing not currently represented. This program aims to address facets of wellbeing that the team cannot address directly. The team also recognises existing efforts across the university to support student wellbeing, outside the Student Health and Wellbeing team. Wellbeing Grants can be used to add value to something awesome already happening, or fund something brand new. We look forward to reviewing your creative and innovative ideas!

Promotion

Successful applications will need to provide the Student Health and Wellbeing team with information about their initiative. This includes details on promotional efforts, photos, and feedback report.
