Career outcomes
The property industry is no longer just about bricks and mortar—it is a fast-paced, high-tech sector where data dictates the layout of our future cities.
By combining real estate knowledge with advanced analytics, you’ll be able to identify opportunities, assess risks and support smarter decisions in property investment, development and urban planning.
You might navigate the expansion of a large-scale commercial property portfolio for a global developer, using data to pinpoint exactly where the next urban boom will happen. You may step into the tech world with an innovative PropTech startup, creating AI-driven valuation platforms that change how real estate transactions work. Or, you could work alongside urban planners and government bodies, using predictive modelling to design smart, energy-efficient infrastructure projects that directly improve local communities.
Where else could this take you?
- Property development and advisory steering high-value construction and land projects from concept to completion.
- Real estate portfolio strategy managing and maximising the value of large-scale commercial property assets.
- Smart cities and infrastructure consulting on large-scale urban developments and tech-driven public spaces.
- PropTech solutions and innovation leading digital transformation and software integration within real estate firms.
- Asset performance management using predictive data engines to optimise building efficiency and investor returns.
Industry trends
The real estate sector is going through a massive digital evolution.
Research indicates that the Australian PropTech market is forecast to increase from $1.83 billion in 2025 to $6.9 billion by 2035, growing at a rapid annual rate of 14.2%. At the same time, demand for broader data analytics skills has surged by 22% year-on-year, driven by industries needing to optimise their physical and digital footprints. This means the contemporary property landscape needs professionals who understand land value, and know how to use data and AI to spot market risks and opportunities.
Our double major in business analytics and property gives you specialised PropTech experience and predictive analytic skills to lead this industry with confidence.
