Dr Srinivasan’s research is focused on developing bio-plausible (neuromorphic) machine learning algorithms and hardware architectures to build energy-efficient and secure AI-based technologies.

Collaborative research project

Dr Srinivasan’s research project aims to harness the tenets of spike-based neuromorphic computing to develop energy-efficient and secure machine learning algorithms. Specific research foci will include:

  1. Brain inspired Spiking Neural Networks (SNN) training algorithms
  2. Bio-plausible SNN architectures
  3. Neuro-inspired approaches for lifelong learning
  4. Spike based neuromorphic computing for secure deep learning
  5. Deep SNN architectures for improved energy efficiency during inference
