Communities of Practice in Focus
The Employability Community of Practice is a vibrant group of academic and professional staff members who love to share the latest knowledge and innovative practice under the umbrella of employability topics such as; work-integrated learning, experiential learning, career development learning, and different ways to assess learning.
In 2021 they are focusing on the teaching and learning experience of employability.
All staff are invited to come along to share their experience of employability in the classroom, hear how others are doing it and to support student engagement and experience.
The group's first topic for the year is “How to use real-world problems in your teaching to connect students learning with work practices” – with academic colleagues demonstrating how they write good rubrics for authentic assessment. Staff are welcome to bring rubrics you are working on – or, just bring their lunch and join in the conversation.
Wednesday 31st March at 12pm in The Cog for our first CoP meeting for 2021.
