New student-led initiative assists with discipline-specific writing
The Writing Centre launched a new, discipline-specific writing workshop series in semester one this year called ‘Get it Write’.
Four sessions have been held so far, with two sessions on creative writing, one on history writing and one on science writing. During the session authors were asked to share one of their published pieces with the audience. The host then interviewed the author based on their work, followed by an audience guided Q&A. These sessions are also unique in that they are created by students, for students, with help from the staff at the University of Adelaide Writing Centre
