Ready to publish
Consider publishing Open Access, making use of Read and Publish agreements if appropriate, and know how to boost the visibility of your research.
Publishing checklist - important steps!
-
Read and comply with the author submission guidelines.
-
Be consistent - always publish using the same version of your name to increase visibility and access.
-
Think about your audience when choosing a Title and writing the Abstract. Be succinct and convey key content.
-
List your affiliation as the University of Adelaide.
-
Complete the University of Adelaide’s authorship declaration form. The University requires all authors to complete this form prior to pre-publication and/or the submission of the publication to a publisher.
- Process copyright clearances for all third party materials included, such as quotes, photographs, figures and tables sourced from publications or authors. See Copyright for Research & Publishing for more information.
- Review the publishing agreement to ensure appropriate rights are retained. See Copyright for Research & Publishing and Publishing Open Access for more information.
- Look to publisher guidelines for advice on title, abstract and keywords to increase visibility and promote your publication. For example, see these pages from Wiley, Springer and Oxford University Press.
