Lecture 23/8 - Your rights as an author
Researchers often agree to publisher contracts without being aware of what rights they are giving away.
This lecture will explore what rights researchers have as creators of copyright material and encourage them to work on maintaining these rights.
The session will cover:
- Copyright basics
- Interpreting publisher contracts and policies
- Strategies for keeping rights
- The principles behind open licencing
