Friends of the Library presents Take Two Oboes
Fundraiser Concert with Celia Craig and Joshua Oates to commemorate Jiří Tancibudek AM (1921-2004) and the 90th Anniversary of the Barr Smith Library
We are thrilled to announce that this postponed event is now back on the calendar! This is a not to be missed musical celebration in the beautiful heritage listed Barr Smith Library Reading Room. Celebrate 90 years of Library memories and commemorate Jiri Tancibudek.
Celia Craig , former Principal Oboe of Adelaide Symphony Orchestra (ASO) and founder of Artaria Ltd, will be joined by Joshua Oates , ASO’s new Principal Oboe and former holder of the Jiri Tancibudek Memorial Scholarship for Oboe.
Our MC for the occasion is Simon Healey, Former ABC presenter.
Program includes: Thea Musgrave - Take Two Oboes, Operatic highlights from Mozart, works by G. P. Telemann, Gilles Silvestrini, and Eugène Bozza.
Join us in the Reading Room and enjoy a complimentary glass of wine - this will be a very special acoustic experience.
