Access changes to Level 1 North

Next week we will be starting the refurbishment of Level 1 North at the Barr Smith Library. This exciting revamp includes a new paint job, new carpet, and the installation of additional power points and study spaces.

Due to these building works there will be no access to Level 1 North from 17 October. Works are expected to be completed in early December 2022.

Level 1 South will continue to be open as normal. Please note, there have also been some collection moves which are outlined below.

Collection moves

• The Main 000-299 Collection has been relocated to Level 2 North.
• The Recreational Reading Collection is being moved to Level 1 South, near the East Asian Collection.
• The Film & Media Collection is now in storage and available on request via Library Search
