Recommendation: Let Them Eat
I have a confession: I order way too much Uber Eats.
I am fully aware of the ethical and economic concerns with doing so. I know that Uber charges restaurants a ridiculous amount for a place on their platform, and that they exploit workers by not classifying them as employees when they are very clearly such.
These points aside, I know I should be cooking more, saving money and eating better. But, sometimes the convenience is just too much. In such a case, I have found what I consider a reasonable middle ground.
Located in the Adelaide Central Markets (bust listed on the app), Let Them Eat is a vegetarian café and deli that specialises in delicious (and nutritious!) salads.
While not the cheapest, I tend to order a large salad to go with whatever tasty morsel they have on hand that particular day, ranging from assorted large arancini balls, vegetable pastry pockets or falafel (to name just a few examples). From this, I comfortable apportion myself two separate meals. I am left feeling full from the whole grains that make up much of the salad, and satisfied from what are very tasty dishes.
If you are wandering around the city, or perusing the apps trying to find something other than your usual Friday night go-to’s, I’d definitely recommend Let Them Eat.
