IDAHOBIT Day

The International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia, also known as IDAHOBIT Day. It occurs on May 17th to mark the day in 1990 when the World Health Organisation removed homosexuality from the Classification of Diseases. It aims to create international events to raise awareness of LGBTQIA+ rights around the world.

Whether you are in class, working or just studying, there are plenty of ways to show support for the LGBTQIA+ community. Try sharing LGBTQIA+ content on social media, wear a rainbow lanyard, pronoun badge or ribbon.

If you are on the either the North Terrace or Roseworthy campus on the 17th of May, show your support and check out the IDAHOBIT day events! The ALLY Network and Pride Club will be at North Terrace Hub Central from 11am - 2pm. There will be a queer market, free activities, cupcakes, a photo booth and so much more.

The Roseworthy Hub will have free food and different IDAHOBIT day activities from 12-1pm.
