Research Data Planner Support
Supporting information and links to relevant documentation are provided within Research Data Planner. The tool also provides thought starters for your research data management plan. You might like to investigate the material listed below if you need support in navigating through the planning questions.
Staff and students are welcome to enrol in an online data management course: Managing your Research Data. In preparation for creating your data management plan you can upload a Data Management Worksheet. If you are a Higher Degree by Research student and would like to gain CaRST points you are required to upload the Data Management Worksheet.
Your supervisor and colleagues can also help with management of data in your research discipline.

Who can I add as a collaborator?
Any University of Adelaide Staff and Student.

Can I delete a plan?
The system is designed to retain all plans. The following options are available:
- Rename and edit the plan for another project
- Keep the plan in your list, perhaps adding 'test' to the name
- Don't share the plan with anyone - no-one will see it but you.
From time to time there will be updates to Research Data Planner which will impact all users. A summary of the updates will be recorded here.
University staff in particular roles are responsible for administrative tasks in Research Data Planner, including running reports, adjusting user access, and editing the plan template. If you do not have administrative rights, but need a specific administrative task completed, please contact the Research Support team.
