2024 Student Experience Survey

The University of Adelaide is participating in the 2024 Student Experience Survey (SES). The SES is being conducted to help higher education institutions and government improve the student experience. 

The Australian Government Department of Education have engaged the Social Research Centre to work with institutions to administer the 2024 SES. Current first and final-year students will be selected to participate in the survey and will receive an invitation in late July to complete the online SES questionnaire.

The SES questionnaire comprises a battery of attitudinal questions regarding teaching quality, skills development, learner engagement and learning resources. All responses are confidential and no personal information will be linked to students’ responses.

As a participating institution, we have an important role to play in promoting the SES to raise awareness of the survey amongst our students. The survey administrators have developed promotional materials, including a PowerPoint slide. Teaching staff are encouraged to include this slide at the end of their lectures throughout August. The slide is available on the UoA Student Experience Survey website.

The data obtained from the SES will play a role in the ongoing evolution of Australian higher education.
