Mid-semester break is already upon us and there are changes to the opening hours for some of the University libraries. View current and upcoming opening hours information.
Writing Studio at the Barr Smith Library
Introducing the Writing Studio! This new space is a result of close collaboration with the Faculty of Arts, and will be home to creative writing classes and workshops, beginning in Semester 1.
Barr Smith Library stairs closed
Please be aware that the stairs leading down from the Barr Smith Library to the Barr Smith Lawns are currently unavailable until Wednesday 9th January due to building works. More information about the redevelopment of Union House can be found here.

Advance notice: Noise disruptions on Level 1 - Thurs 1/11
On Thursday 1st November a University function is being held on Level 1 of the Barr Smith Library.

Music Collection tours
For the week starting Monday 6th August, we will be running tours of the new collection and study spaces down on Level 1 of the Barr Smith Library, focusing specifically on the newly relocated Music Collection!
Semester 2 opening hours
Welcome back everyone! Opening hours at the Barr Smith Library have now gone back to normal and we are open from 8am until 8pm every weekday, and 10am until 5pm on weekends.

The transformation begins – Barr Smith Library redevelopment
The transformation of the Barr Smith Library is about to commence, with two major building works projects starting in November: a complete refurbishment of the southern end of Level 1 to facilitate the move of the Elder Music Library into the Barr Smith Library, and a smaller joint Hub Central – University Library project to improve signage and wayfinding on Level 3.
