Are you preparing for a job interview, internship or professional event but don't have the right attire? The Upcycle Adelaide Closet is here to help.
The mission of the Upcycle Adelaide Closet is to provide free new or gently used business casual and business professional attire, for the University of Adelaide community. We support those who are embarking on job interviews, internships and new employment. The closet strives to help community members look their best throughout their job search and positively impact their success in the professional world.
How it works
- The Upcycling Adelaide Closet in December officially launched on Tuesday, 10th December 2024.
- During semesters, the closet will be fully operational, offering regular hours on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays between 12pm and 3pm at room 416 of the Napier Building. Students can visit, browse and take what they need.
- All items are available free of charge.
Donations
As the Upcycle Adelaide Closet is unstaffed, we are unable to receive or sort clothing outside of organised donation drives. Unauthorised drop-offs cannot be processed. Any Donation drives will be advertised on this website as they are scheduled throughout 2025. If you would like to organise a donation drive within your school, faculty or team please contact katherine.roff@adelaide.edu.au. Please note, there are limitations on the items the Upcycle Closet can receive. We accept only clean, new or gently used, professional wear with no damage and of high quality. Shirts, blouses, suits, pants, skirts, dresses, and ties are welcome. New shoes only.
