New GP at Adelaide Unicare

We are very pleased to welcome Dr John Foenander to our University Health & Gawler Place Medical practices.

Locally educated and trained, John will bring a breadth of medical experience to our two Adelaide CBD based practices. John has accumulated over 10 years of clinical experience from all over Australia. He has worked in a variety of settings - both local and interstate; rural and urban; general practice, emergency and hospital care. John similarly has diverse interests which include preventative medicine, chronic disease care, musculoskeletal medicine and medical education. Having had a background of being involved in medical officer training, he will be also playing a supervisor role to our medical registrars.

Warm and easy going, John values the patient centred approach. He believes the best patient care is derived from a patient-clinician team approach, as is reflected by his focus on patient education. Whether patients present with a “just a cold”, or chronic disease management, or a request for a second opinion, John’s goal is to provide care that is effective while also being customised to the patient.
