Course aim: To provide participants with the basic understanding of the requirements for effective plant safety management.

- Legislation, compliance and responsibilities
- Hazard management
- Risk assessment and controls
- Plant guarding
- Safe operating procedures (SOPs)
- Tag-out procedures
- “Notifiable” occurrences and reporting
- Plant design and manufacture
- High risk work
Suitable for: Staff and postgraduate students who work with hazardous plant / equipment.
