Six types of rest
I’ve just had an incredibly marvellous weekend! One that I’ve been looking forward to for ages and at the same time, I feel completely drained. A friend I spent most of the weekend with, felt the same way. She was exhausted enough to suggest we should cancel lunch and take a bit of time to recharge and maybe take a nap. We were all together several times throughout the weekend anyway. She works interstate and is only here in Adelaide for a visit during her birthday.

Reconciliation Week 2021
2021 marks twenty years of Reconciliation Australia and the theme is “More than a word. Reconciliation takes action,” urging the reconciliation movement towards braver and more impactful action, and more than just raising awareness and knowledge. Reconciliation is about Indigenous and non-indigenous people uniting and being one as a nation and as a people.

I’m sorry if you’ve grown up hearing that you’re not doing your best, that you’re just not trying hard enough. I’m sorry if you’ve grown up teaching yourself that you had to push through discomfort only to realise you still can’t do all those things your peers could. I’m sorry if you grew up knowing you were so different from everyone around you, yet you weren’t cared for like you should have been.
