Change Management for Improvement Initiatives

Capability to manage change will be essential as we continue to strengthen our University’s service focus, and transition to Adelaide University. This program is for staff who are currently implementing change initiatives and will explore the essentials of effective change management through three comprehensive workshops.

Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of this program participants will have developed essential skills and acquired tools for applying effective change management, empowering you to successfully navigate any improvement initiative or project.

Workshop Topics

This workshop will cover:

  • Stakeholder Mapping and Engagement Planning– explore tools to master stakeholder mapping and plan out the engagement interventions.
  • Change Sizing and Change Impact Analysis – delve into change sizing and impact analysis and understand how this can help inform your change approach.
  • Designing Change Plans, Execution and Measures – be equipped with the skills to design a customised change plan, execute the plan and measure change success.

Delivery mode

Three face-to-face interactive workshops sessions which will provide sufficient opportunity for discussion, group learning activities, and real-world application of the tools and techniques presented.

In the later stages of the program there will also be opportunities for one-on-one coaching sessions with one of the change experts who’ll be delivering this course.

It is a requirement that you attend all three sessions in the cohort you select to successfully complete this program.  

Target Audience

This program is available to all continuing and fixed-term staff, academic and professional, who are currently implementing a change initiative.

Facilitators

Susie Jones has over 20 years’ experience in change management and communication. With a degree in Psychology and Biology, she is skilled in strategic, operation, innovation and change leadership.

Susie is an energetic and positive trainer who partners with organisations and individuals to navigate the complexities of thinking in an ever-changing business environment as well as an experienced executive coach, effectively supporting both Board members and first line leaders.
 

Sophie O’Neill is a dynamic professional with a versatile background spanning IT-enabled change and operating model transformation in Healthcare, Financial Services, and Government across the UK and Australia. Sophie excels in change portfolio management, crafting frameworks, and seamlessly integrating change strategy into projects. Sophie's expertise extends beyond roadmaps; she empowers leaders to confidently navigate change, fostering resilience and adaptability in their teams.
