Wildlife Crime Research Hub
Australia’s foremost environmental crime research program has a new ‘front door’ at the North Terrace Campus.
In 2023, Professor Phill Cassey secured $3.8M of funding from the Australian Research Council (ARC) to develop new digital and wildlife forensic tools to improve the surveillance and detection of illegal activities, and enable enforcement agencies to identify and halt the illegal harvest and trade of plants and animals.
The Wildlife Crime Research Hub supports this ARC industry fellowship and provides a unique opportunity for HDR students to interact with government and industry.
